Schenna is an outstanding destination for hikers and mountaineers

Up into the mountains, directly from the Taser Alm hiking hotel above Meran

A leisurely stroll from meadow to meadow, dizzying heights on the fixed-rope climbing route to the Gsteier or a high-mountain tour to the peak of the hotel’s Ifinger Mountain – the Taser Alm hiking hotel above Meran is the ideal set-off point for your very own mountain adventure: All mountain and hiking tours begin right on the hotel doorstep. With a magnificent panorama in constant view, relaxation is the only thing on your mind. Your landlady Heide is  a trained hiking guide, and from time to time accompanies guests on guided hikes to the most beautiful spots around the Schenna and beyond.

Hiking tips

Choose your route carefully and don’t overestimate your abilities. Above all, if this is your first hiking holiday in the beautiful Meran area, start off with the easier routes. I will be delighted to help you choose the right tour. The right equipment is also important: Good footwear, a comfortable rucksack and weatherproof clothing are vital, as is sufficient water, a small snack and possibly some glucose tablets, a first-aid kit and rain protection.
